I love the D-Moll I have, and apparently the D-Moll is a sort of spiritual successor to the Herbert.

The VH4 is damn sexy too. And I like the Hagen my bandmate plays as well.

I think the Hagen would be my next if I ever wanted to get another Diezel, Just so darn expensive.

These were very thought provoking words... I liked that. "...the D-Moll is a sort of spiritual successor to the Herbert." I'm not basing this on the merit of any perceived truth, just the eloquence in your verbiage.

Good to have you here man!!

Hagen blows my mind. Especially once it's warmed up good and solid - then shit gets real.

I love my 1995 blue face VH4 I play it and its like I am in 1995 with the tone and it's still got the original Ruby 6l6GC power and preamp tubes. I remember that's what Adam Jones had or has in his. Lots of other people I know like Mark Cameron is not a fan of it because it sounds too 1995 for them at least.

I swear it has that "dark" 90's distorted gainy tone you would hear on albums from that era. I see why Peter changed the circuit to keep up with current changes in music and what was happening but for me there is something about that dark tone that takes me home.

Love the Herbert...Really liked the VH4 I owned. The D-Moll was OK. I am defiantly looking forward to trying out the new Diezel Mrk III Herbert. I have been told that it is a bit faster / tighter, with a bit more upper-mid presence. Sounds perfect.

Swapped out the KT77's and filled him up with fresh Wing =C= EL34's
Plus rolled out a NOS Military China 12AX7 with a new Mullard in V1 (Papa Diezel recommended)

Lit a serious fire under Herbies ass. Plus rolling down the guitars volume still gets a growl
but cuts well.

Started using channel 2 in the minus mode with the gain at 1:00.
Big smiles

I had a Herbert and the Hagen. Traded/Sold both and regret letting the Hagen go. I had the Hagen for about 5 years and loved it, dumb me...

I dig the Herbert and Paul - but they all have their own thing going on.

Loved my herbie !! Loaded with 6l6’s the whole way across. Killer!!
