Can you guys recommend what brand of preamp tubes you like in the Herbert

Find someone who's been working on tube amps for a while and take him/her your tubes and have them tested. You might have one or more on the virge of going bad and knowing will save you a lot of time, money and grief.

Well, if worse comes to worse and ya get tired of "F-ing" with it, shoot me PM and we'll talk turkey...won't be the first amp I brought back from the grave.

Alright guys the amp is up and running with no problems. Replaced the fuses, I had a quad of SED's. I replaced the two where the fuse blew and another set. Will have to order two more. Rebiased the amp and sounds better than before. I think it was due for a tube change. Want to thank everyone for helping troubleshoot and solve my problem!
