I don't listen to the radio only so I can be cooler than people that do.

But you gotta admit, sometimes new CD's are like that new chic at work/in class/you just met.

It starts out as a "meh" before turning into a "hmmm" then all of a sudden it goes to a "dang" and before you know it you've completely done a 180 it's the only thing you want to listen to.

Sorry. Just hard for me to believe an American who plays guitar and is on the forum interwebs has never heard of a mainstream rock band that's as big and been around as long as Disturbed.

Ok, I just Youtubed this band. I've heard the Down With the Sickness song.
It immediately reminded me of why I never took time to seek out this band.
As soon as the singer started with his thing I shut it off.
The music rocked though.

Exactly how I feel. I really dislike the vocals but the music is ok. Especially the latest stuff has gotten better as far as guitar work.

I think what bothers me the most is the singer seems like a big douche.

I saw an interview with him several years ago right after they blew up and he was king douche.

Was ragging on other bands and stated how he was tired of all these other vocalists "singing like pussies"

I have got news for you Disturbed vocalist. You sir, sing like a pussy.

I remember the interview when Disturbed where they said Nevermore was one of their biggest influences, I hadn't heard Disturbed at that point so I gave em a spin because I am up for anything like Nevermore. 40 seconds in... I realized that I had been swindled badly with words.
