Everyone knows I love shredding and Jeff’s solos . But … this …Jeff’s playing and tone and leads are his best . This song gets my feels like no other . You want taste . This is shit hits those heartstrings

The song structure and chord progression are kinda basic. There are millions of songs that follow that same format. As for the solo, he just plays the vocal melody. Are we really judging Jeff Fucking Loomis on a Kurt Cobain solo?!
Off the top of my head, here is a better song in every way. The song structure, tone, and solos are all better than that, and I wouldn't write home about this song. It's the weakest song on this album. That solo has way more feel though.

Well a real never actually has tearsI agree. It's enough to make a guy cry 14 times in a year.
Guitar solos that reiterate the vocal melody have been done since the 50's and 60's, so I don't know why you're interjecting a Kurt Cobain reference to that. Unless you actually think he started that lol. Such solos are sometimes exactly what's needed.Okay. I will articulate.

No, I just thought it was weird for Jeff Loomis to get praise for a solo Kurt Cobain could have wrote. It's more of a "low hanging fruit" thing.Guitar solos that reiterate the vocal melody have been done since the 50's and 60's, so I don't know why you're interjecting a Kurt Cobain reference to that. The only metal Kurt Cobain ever had flowing through his head was a shotgun shellNo, I just thought it was weird for Jeff Loomis to get praise for a solo Kurt Cobain could have wrote. It's more of a "low hanging fruit" thing.
