I can't believe people still listen to music with singers like this...
I can't believe everyone in the world doesn't like exactly what I like.

With so much compression and gain going on I don't think it makes much a difference which one he uses .
Just for the record , i liked that band a lot when they came out back in the days .

oh man...i watched that solo...he didn't like...tap the tapping part...he kinda "air guitar'd" his OWN solo.

that was kinda funny to watch.

Im sorry, I just..cant relate to this music at all. Or their look, or the high pitch vocals. and to be honest that guitar solo seemed so...played out...it did nothing for me.

THIS type of music video/band/presentation just seems cartoonish to me now. its SO dated.

How about something NEW guys? New Devin Townshend album rocks pretty hard, you should try it.

It's a music video from the eighties, what the fuck do you expect. Just because it's not your "cup of tea" doesn't make the rest of us lame for still having a soft spot for it.

As far as the "Dated, played out" it wasn't back then, just think how lame and played out your band is going to sound 30yrs from now, or even now.

Always loved that tone and am looking for which p'u he used on that track?

I'm 100% positive it's a SH-5.

Here's a super-quickie "Seven Seas" (solo too) I whipped up using BIAS FX and a pre-1983 SH-5:

(backing track not accurate; pulled from someone's guitar tab pro)

After I do my "how to get tone" Randy Rhoads vid, LeTekrø will be next.

Got to agree on some points here. This music was great back in the 80's. And for most of us, it's probably the stuff we grew up on. Key words, GREW UP. At 41 years old, I listen to way more aggressive music now then I ever have. The 80's hair metal music does absolutely nothing for me nowadays. It was like a gateway drug though that exposed me to other genres of metal. And for the sake of not starting an internet fight, this is all just my opinion. More power to you if you still enjoy it.

I'm 47 and grew up in the 80's...mostly into Ratt, Dokken, White Lion, Van Halen, Ozzy.... I love a good power ballad, but these videos are a little embarrasing! :D

don't you like full white outfit-guitar...?????

I think we're all forgetting one major consideration here, Chicks!!!!! All of those bands back in the 80's were appealing to the female crowd as much as possible and looking and playing music that would draw that crowd. Hell, I went to some shows just for the women, didn't give two shits about the music.

Not to be too much of a dick but this was a pretty shitty song back in the 80s. The lyrics are lame and there really isn't any catchy hook in there at all. Disclaimer: the glam stuff was never my bag. I'm 50, and I started my metal journey with Ozzy, Black Sabbath, early Priest, and Maiden then went down the Thrash road as fast as my feet would carry me. That said some of the better glam bands had ridiculous chops and wrote monster hooks. Hell, TNT had at least one or two great songs.

Yeah singers that can actually sing suck. What were they thinking? Just scream like cookie monster taking a shit, that's real talent.
