Yes, This thread had me go to youtube for some SYL and I watched that show. I thought it was interesting how the crowd started off a little slow but really got rocking as they went. Like lights going on for everyone.

I guess I'm old (I am...sigh..) but I don't get the attraction to this...first clip doesn't change key for over 2 minutes and I cant handle the screaming vocals etc. Playing is ok but buried in the mix of keys etc with little distinction. I know I may be in the minority here but this does zero for me. Just my opinion, if you dig it cool but I guess Im missing what the big deal is, his playing does nothing for me nor the tone, just a lot of chugging in the same key.

I'm messin with you - I didn't care for his stuff at all, it's grown on me - however I own none if his music. I did like the one man show performance of these EMG vids.

I listen to more classical music than death growl vocals nowadays...getting older
