Hmm, I have one and used it post OD pedals last pedal before hitting the amp input and didn’t like it very much. I can’t remember if I tried it pre-OD, will have to try that.

I use my Standout instead of an OD but I just use it to tighten up the low end for playing metal.

Ive had good luck with the source audio eq,presets,vol boosts,its pretty cool. I wouldn't mind trying some others too.

At the moment, I'm using the Empress Para-EQ or the Mesa Boogie 5-Band. The graphic is easier to dial in quickly.

Why is the Mesa so expensive for an EQ pedal? I love the way my EQ works on my JP-2C, but can't see spending that much for an eq pedal for my other amps is all.

Don't really know... it's a good pedal, well built, quiet, works well... if I had to guess, I'd say it's because it says "Mesa" on it.

I think it's because it supposedly is exactly like the built in EQs in the Mark amps, which are fairly unique, at least compared to typical pedal EQs. There's a decent amount of demand for an EQ like that, especially for use in the non-EQ Mark amps, so they can charge a pretty penny for them.

Replacing those 4 noisy op-amps did most of the trick. Throw in some NE5532P's and you're 90% there.
