So back at it. I finally decided to take the plunge on the Evertune thing. Yes, I'm way late to the party... lol! I'm really pleased with this guitar. The last few LTD guitars I've picked up have been killer in terms of fit and finish. Anyway... thought I'd do a vid. Pardon the absolute shit playing. I'm still trying to convince my hand that it should know what it's doing...lol!

Well, first, happy NGD! SWEET LTD!! Second, glad to see you getting back into it after your injury. Sounding good for a guy who almost just lost his thumb!!!

Not sure what you are plugged into there but damn it sounds good to me through my cheap m-audio monitors. You are getting excellent articulation and have a beautiful shee on the highs considering how much gain you are using. Very thick and rich. Congrats on being back in the saddle again SFW.

I'm playing through my Quad Cortex. (I know... all cool points revoked...lol!) It's a stock model of the Peavey 5150 through a MDL Tone mix ready IR of a V30 using a 57 and 421. I was all excited to hook up the Suhr Reactive Load IR that I bought just before I got hurt only to find out I got a bad unit. Sweetwater is sending me a replacement now.

The project that I joined a few months ago is "modern metal" with a female vocalist. So, I dialed in "that" stock tone. We are planning to rehearse with IEMs and do real amps for live.

It sounded quality. No cool points lost, I'll blame the great tone on the LTD!

I need to try a 421 on my Twin one of these days. It's a great utility mic I should own anyhow so maybe I'll put that on my short list for when I get a buck again.

My drummer, who is also an audio engineer swears by a 421. I personally like the 121 better, but they both help to bring some girth to the guitars.

Noted, and thanks. They do seem to be popular for mic'ing drums in the studio so that was one reason it would seem to be a good choice for me.
