Title says it all.

Had to evacuate due to fires near my home.

After they jacked insurance up to around 1k Mo for my place, we could no longer afford it.

No insurance.

Gear is at the house.

May lose it all and everything else we own.

Prayers greatly appreciated.

Mods, please move if needed.

Sorry to hear this. Is this part of the fire up around Amarillo or did another fire pop up? I knew they had about 10000 acres burning out by Crabapple near Fredericksburg, which is a shame cause it's one of the most beautiful spots in TX.

Keep us posted and you are in my prayers brother. I'm in the general Austin area and the winds lately have us on high alert out here, especially after seeing how that worked out for Pacific Palisades. Some corn fed moron started a fire a country block down from me earlier today but the fire station is literally two doors down from the guy so they got it quick...

I am in Southeast Texas. San Jacinto county fires.

Sorry to hear that you're getting impacted by this. A google search is showing 10 percent contained with 1200 acres burning. I hope the winds slack off and they are able to get control of it. It's been mostly gusty winds for days in central TX.
Oh nice, last I checked it was 0.

Things have been so crazy.

Just glad I was able to make it to my wife and children (and pets) to load up and take off.

Just left the chicken coop door open, run chickens, run! They should be able to escape if it heads that way.

Thanks for the support my RT bros (and sisters)

Trying to just stay calm, nothing I can do anyway at this point except pray.

So sorry this is happening. It’s up to fate and luck now.

Just in case no one has said it - there’s not a damn thing you can do to change the outcome whichever way it goes now and overthinking the situation will do absolutely nothing to solve it and only guarantee to compound an already stressful situation.

Sit back and hug your family. Everything else can be resolved or replaced in time.

You and your family are in my prayers.

We were evacuated for around a week due to fire back in September, so I have a good idea what you must be feeling.

2 Rig-Talk buddies @VonBonfire and @JackBootedThug kept my spirits up then. They're solid Brothers!

Man I hope not brother. Having been through the whole "Losing everything I own" thing you have my empathy.

Hello RT,

We received an update that our home is still standing at this time. No telling if it will stay that way but your messages and prayers really are a huge help.

Still cannot return for however long but hoping it stays away!

Very blessed to have my wife and children safe and am trying not to stress, as others have said, nothing I can do.

Much love RT, I will keep y'all updated.

I'm glad you and the family are safe but I can understand how devastating it must be with the waiting to see if you lost everything. Prayers for a good outcome.
