Right on. I have a cab with greenback reissues and agree it sounds great through those. There have been some clips of 65’s lately causing some gas for those lol.

Yep good combo. I've got to say the early version G12T-75's also sound great, and very similar to the 65's. Celestion radically changed the voicing on the T sometime maybe early 90's to the sound we all know and hate, now that all get lumped in together.
I made a quick clip some days ago - Dry cab is Engl with G12-65, wet are V30 cabs. I think the G12 65w goes well withe EVH 50W head, also they blend nice with other speakers.
My experience as well, and I play my 5150III 50W (6L6) live through a 2x12 with a G12-65 and a Mesa V30.
G12-65 shines with the EVH, since it tames some of the strident highs.
Same for Greenbacks, but you need either the H30's in a 2x12, or the M25's in a 4x12 to offer up similar low-end, since the G12-65 by itself sounds huge already and definitely bigger than a Greenback by itself.
