Fake Fender Outrage by ShitFluencers/CuckFluencers......

I saw in one video a guy’s theory this is related to Fender acquiring certain copyrights related to the body from G&L in the last year when G&L went under. Whether this is true or not, who knows. You would certainly think CBS wouldn’t have acquired Fender without any and all copyrights to the Stratocaster.

But nothing beats a Classic Coke/Diet Coke IME...... Ahem ahem.... Fender/Gibson

That's Fender's problem, and you've highlighted it perfectly. There are a lot of brands out there that are making a better product than Fender. Unable to compete with the quality of their competitors, they choose litigation.

ImO seeing some of these other Boutique things in person.....

Honestly it's hard to beat Fender Custom Shop..... Part for part.... Work for work..... Finish to finish..... It's hard to beat.....

And talk about unable to compete when many arent competing at all or coming up with anything original at all..... They are just copying Fender/Classic Coke :dunno:

Do you see a possibility of a Fender flush with funds doing the same thing?

Never. They have tried and the average Fender player doesn't want it. The average Fender player (and average corksniffer) demand all the vintage/outdated options. I was stoked when Fender released the American Elite series with a 2-way spokewheel truss rod, compound radius, jumbo frets, noiseless pickups, better heel access. They rolled back some of those options on the American Ultra and now the American Pro II. I still see tons of quality control issues with these guitars that would keep me from buying one.

Smaller builders can take the time to build them better. There's a difference with your boss being John Suhr or Tom Anderson who can take you aside and show you the ropes vs. a faceless CEO who worked at QVC and Ralph Lauren and couldn't give two fucks about you. People at Fender are clearly just clocking in and out, no care to fit and quality.

This is how bad the quality is on Fenders

Dude that's like painters tape or masking tape WTF :hys:

That's so unbelievably shitty my god

isn't there supposed to be finish over the logo?!?! Did he buy a fake?

Not sure if it's been mentioned anywhere in the thread yet due to the incessant ramblings of our resident gnat, but apparently, they've served PRS a letter now too

Sorry that's impossible. Fake News. Some of the brain geniuses in this thread have insisted that Fender's European lawsuits only happening in Europe right this second means it could only possibly happen in Europe, and therefore could never happen in America, so nobody in America could actually be mad or worried about it impacting Americans, they're all just cuck shills doing it for the clicks.

And the time between Fender’s C&D letters to those European companies vs the American company PRS took about a week.

I agree with every sentence of this :dunno:

Unfortunately to have a really nice fender, you're going to have to have to do a lot more work than just "buy a fender guitar"

1. You can buy a US ultra or whatever, and then painstakingly fix all the issues they tend to have (especially with the bridges and frets)
2. Piece together a partscaster, for cheaper than a US fender, and then painstakingly fix all the issues they tend to have
3. Drop like 5k on a custom shop, and then still probably get a couple of issues that you will have to painstakingly fix
4. Buy a Suhr or TA for about the same price as a custom shop, and get none of those issues or hassle

The reason Suhr, TA, PRS have all been able to get a slice of the "strat pie" so to speak, is because fender has been really terrible about their specs and QC for many many years now. And of course it's like that; as you said,

So yeah, no shit they have some issues i guess. I still love Fender guitars. Just like Gibson they have ebbs and flows and valleys and troughs and flotsam and jetsam of their giant faceless company fortunes, and right now Fender is at a nadir.

However, both Fender and its attorney Bird & Bird failed to provide any characteristics of what they constitute to be a defining feature of the broader Stratocaster “design”, giving way to theories that aesthetic appointments – including the scratchplate shape and control layout – could be a greater consideration.

Exactly

And I don't think this has anything to do with Europe. It was my understanding that Fender purposely picked a Chinese strat copy firm to take to court in a 'legally friendly' country like Germany knowing said Chinese strat copy firm wouldn't show up to court. So Fender won that case by default and now they want to use that 'muscle' in the US to bully the John Suhrs and Tom Andersons. This after 70 years of doing nothing. :dunno:

Yeah, if you have the know how it's all moot. I recently picked up a American Performer Tele. Swapped the guard out, plopped in Dimarzio Tone Zone and Area T, swapped in locking tuners. All that was a personal touch, but I did change the saddles to Wilkinson Compensated and then had to recrown and polish all the frets because they were flat. I got it the week before all this shit and I'm not getting rid of it. I also picked up a Gibson today, maybe I'm becoming a boomer.

I have no desire for a strat, but the PRS SE Silversky's are great besides the god awful headstock. I don't want to drop $5k to get a good strat Fender or Suhr or PRS or whatever.

I love it! Killer guitar man.

But you are totally reinforcing my point that they literally always need work :ROFLMAO:

In general I agree with this - it's certainly been the pattern for a long time. But I did buy an ultra lux vintage strat recently. While I'm kind of luke warm on the slightly reliced finish (basically just cracks in the nitro) I don't feel like it needs anything. The frets are big and stainless and level. It plays nice. The neck is comfy with rolled edges. I added 2 trem springs and decked the trem but that's personal preference. The pickups are good. The bridge and tuners are good.

I A/Bed with with two Suhrs they had and it beat both in tone and playability was about a wash. It was cheaper than a Suhr and US made.

I 100% believe you, but if that experience was common fender could put both of those companies out of business 🤷 pretty easily too, considering their manufacturing might and manpower.

Everyone loves a great strat, but finding one with the specs and QC at the price point you're after is WAY too difficult for how easy they are to manufacture or put together.

Fenders laziness and greed in this regard is why John Suhr and TA have been in business for literally decades

Very, very true

I feel bad for the RTers in places where political affiliation has now replaced religiosity - because that's what it really is.

You need to pray to their far-left globohomo marxist gods of "tolerance" and "multiculturalism" or literally go to prison. They act like challenges to their political orthodoxy are literal heresy. It's absolutely insane that it's even gotten this bad.

On the positive side though, it looks like the UK may have finally had enough based on what's going on there
They not interested in hearing you speak your opinion. They only interested in hearing you speak their opinion.

It's so crazy, that politics in that area has been dominated by one side for so long :dunno:

That being said, it's funny how a certain someone became a lot more quiet here in this thread, now that the PRS shit is out (as expected by the smarter folks) and a bunch of you are making the same factual points that I've been making along with @311boogieman, @Findthetone1, @Rackman and @TheGreatGreen ... And the reason for that (quietness) is unfortunately also political.

Very sad, so sad. 🤏
