My '89 Hamer USA Californian Standard. Solid slab of Honduran mahogany :inlove:

Never played a superstrat that sounds as huge as this one

The two I have left are killer!!!
Hamer USA Diablo with Tone Zone/Liquifier combo
Jackson PC-1 sans sustainer with Aldrich/HS-2/BC-1

I just bought one of Splawn's guitars...Hawaiian Koa body, Lynch Super V bridge/ Quater Pound neck pups, gold Floyd, 5 way switch...it's the best playing guitar I have (including my Charvel custom shop) and sounds killer too.

I have one of those too! I bet the tone zone kicks ass in that guitar. Mine has the Blues Saraceno Parallel Axis pickup which I have a love/hate relationship with. But the '59 in the neck is glorious :inlove:

Peavey HP Special carved top, USA made. Bought used this summer, been finding it hard to put down since! Basically a post-Eddie Wolfgang variant with tweaks: up-trem w/trem blocker, coil splitting. I wouldn't mind having one with an alder or ash body too, the non-custom shop production models were basswood. Medium sized neck feels great to me, not too thin or thick, and the finish on the birds eye maple neck and board are outstanding (not sure what it is, but it's a non-glossy and very smooth, can't feel the wood grain at all, satin??). 15" board radius to boot, definitely able to shred on this. And I wasn't sure I'd like "only" 22 frets but I actually really like it, something about the neck pickup further from the bridge that sounds more bluesy, plus more space to pick the strings. Sadly out of production since Peavey closed their USA custom shop a few years back. :aww:

Is it a Les Paul? No. So that automatically makes it a Strat! :D

American Standard Strat with the right pickups.....that's all you need.

I have 2 Suhr's one with std trem and one w/the Gohto floyd in mahogany body maple tops mahogany necks rosewood boards SS frets and man I tell you they slay over all of my other super strats including other Suhrs for sound big and bold and thick...both are Pro series guitars an both are superb for the money, new just over $2k if you can find one, they were a limited run, someone has a used one for sale on RT right now. They still do a great strat thing with a little more body to the note (they are HSH too) and super versitile. I've gone thru a lot of Super Strats and for me these are it...

I'm really digging the Pro series Suhr guitars for the reason you mentioned - Strat tones, but with more body. Only thing is... every one that I've checked out has a slim C neck. ...
