Fender CEO calls cover bands “analog AI”

I just read a bit about him. He was a CEO at Ralph Lauren and other places. He was in charge of the Fender Asia market since 2014.

Obviously no one sat him down to review a profile summary of the majority of Fender customers. Imagine a personal trainer saying something like: "if these people didn't make such shitty nutrition/lifestyle decisions in the first place, they wouldn't need me."

I don’t see how this guy lasts long term as CEO. All this mess he’s created will impact their sales and he’ll be gone. Then they’ll get someone to come in and do a resurgence of their history and focus on making guitars.

I think that depends on the outcome; FMIC is owned by Servco Pacific, Inc., a holding and investment company. If they make money due to court rulings, the CEO will stay in place; if they lose money or the court rulings, the CEO is gone.

FMIC is irrelevant; FMIC's bottom line (gross - costs = net income) growth is all they care about, not how it grows.
