RIP Mr. Unkle John! 🙏 GODSPEED and may you be at peace! He was a long time member and mainstay of the forum so this is very sad and shocking news indeed!

I would like to send my prayers and personal condolences to his wife, family and friends.:salute:

Damn man, that sucks. I remember interacting with him way back in the HCAF and think it was when i was living in D.C. Just seemed like a great guy and was a constant on the forums.

Thanks for posting this and sorry for your loss as his close friend. Glad you guys were able to share some laughs over the years. R.I.P.

Damn that sucks. We cant afford to keep losing the good ones. I didnt know him personally but he always seemed like a good dude.
Condolences to his friends and family...

Oh man that’s horrible, John was a good guy. We used to text a lot a few years back and swapped a lot of gear between the two of us. Prayers for his family and you. He only retired a couple years back correct?

Pretty much, yeah. He was a tool and die maker and was able to retire a few years ago. He was an amazing woodworker and had about as much wild-ass, high-end wood working machines and such as he did guitars and amps. He's been a constant in my life for a long time now, even though we are pretty far apart in age, he was the big/older brother I never had. Texted nearly every day, silly dumb-ass guy shit. We drank a lot of beer together and always had a great time. Cookouts on his deck, Super Bowl games at our place. This is so fucked up, I can't believe he's gone, it still hasn't really set in fully.

Yep, I remember him telling me that. He got a Dodge ram a while back and he knew I worked for them and he was telling me how the guys at work were giving him shit because he bought a ram and wanted me to ensure him it was a good choice hahaha. He would send me silly shit on Christmas and holidays too. He will be missed.
