Cool walk through, and seems like Steve is a laid back dude.
Great job Mark...

I'd love to hear it through different speakers as well. Nice interview!

Didn't care for the overdrive in this particular clip very much. Too thick and soft/fizzy on the high end. Especially when he does fast runs on the neck pickup, no clarity. Mind you I thought it sounded pretty spectacular on the clip of the guy from the amp show? playing Diver Down, VH stuff. So it could just be the way it's mic'd, speaker choice etc. When Steve mentions how modern sounding it is I very much agree. It has the hallmarks of most modern guitar sounds I hear which are thick but not all that distinct and don't have the "Klang" I grew up on. I would totally get guys who are more into modern guitar sounds loving this amp, I just don't gel with that kind of tone. Always appreciate the vids. Wish these amps could be something to be demo'd in person but alas not for us mere, small time retail mortals

Hope the amp does well for you Dave, nice job as always Mark

Nice one LP Freak, you posted that vid right as I was posting...

+1

From what I can tell from the video my Naked will still rule the roost!
I would like to hear it through Scumbacks M-75/H-75.

Possibility to get settings off the amp ?

Cool interview Mark, and the amp sounds great too!

Gotta say though... I'm a huge SS fan, but i much preferred the tones in Doug Rappoport's demo video

Defiantly like the SS100 and BE100 clips and vids over any clips or vids of the Naked. That being said I'd love to own all 3.

In reality the clean is a fender style circuit with a vox eq. Actually the vox circuit has more sparkle to it then the fender style circuit. Remember this is not a vox or fender circuit really.
How similar is this clean channel to the full clean in the older Marsha amps?

I thought it sounded good. I have to say that I have no idea where the comments suggesting a lack of clarity on fast neck pickup runs are coming from??? I can understand not liking the sound...tone is subjective. But a lack of clarity is not really subjective and is simply not true in this case...the notes were not smeared or blurred in the least bit.

I'm floored at how great this amp sounds. The warmth (due to comp. speakers or not) is a welcomed sound for sure. Not to say this amp doesn't have any bite or aggression judging from the videos but there is a nice warm contrast that really makes it shine.

I would love to try this thing next to my 71' Modded Plexi.

So what are you saying? That Steve must suck at fast runs on the neck pickup..........

Dude, on this forum, the answer to 1+1 is subjective..... ;)

That sounded awesome. Reminded me of Johnny Thunders live sound. Damn i want!!

Awesome amp ! Awesome interview Mark !!

Wish the amp's input could accept right angled jack...lol

Why, so you could knock it on the floor instead of pulling the cord out? Right angle to input not a good idea.

I'm sure someone will chime in that the abrupt change in signal path orientation at the right angle will affect the tone and the overall experience of playing through the amplifier.

I think the "purple room" and his living room are the same room. The remote room looks like it is just Josie's extra bedroom.

When he was on Married to Rock, (yes I watched that show) it seemed like right when you walked into their condo that the main living area was Steve's studio. I thought to myself, "damn his wife is cool" to let him take over the place with his studio. Then it showed her in a bedroom watching TV while Steve worked in the studio. And then I thought, "now here is a man with a set of balls". Then I snuck up to my hidden away in a spare bedroom studio while my wife watched TV in the main room of the house. ;)
