I have yet to watch a demo where this amp doesn't sound great...I typically go for amps that have a bit higher gain / aggressive voice but this thing is extremely tempting:

The guys I know that have played, or own both say that the Jose is noticeably less polished / produced sounding by comparison to the BE Deluxe series...more organic and raw.I think I would have zero chance telling those apart blind.

They're close, but there's a difference in the room and in the feel. The BE is smooth, polished, the Jose is brighter and raw. For me, the BE feels stiffer.
The Jose is less compressed...If that is what is contributing to the "feel" you are describingIt's hard to explain. The BE has more low-mids so sounds a little chewier than the Jose, but to me, the high end feels stiffer and less open. It's a feel thing. It's like I'm always wanting a little more from the BE that the Jose just gives me. Stiffer might not be the right word. The Jose feels less constricted? IDK, it's hard to describe a feeling.
If he´d had a greenback cab going on the clips I probably would have loved it.

The BE 100 feels stiffer? Interesting. I was just telling someone yesterday that my plans for the Jose are because I wanted something less chewy and spongey than my BE50. That kind of feel and sound is nice, but it's not the only kind of feel I like. I saw someone on TGP was selling their Jose for $3000 shipped (it sold). There are deals now out there if you look.
Haven't you played one, yet???![]()
