Another New Friedman Jose Demo...

Every Jose I've seen/heard has been a treble monster.. I feel like Dave made this warmer sounding and honestly, I didn't buy one because of it. Not to say I won't make a purchase, but every clip I've seen they sound more "tame" than I wish.... I'm probably dumb.
Interesting...Does this (2:50) not sound bright or aggressive enough in the top-end?

maybe im a dumbass too cause i agree, this demo to me just sounded like a typical friedman. i have my 3Monkeys jose preamp and treble monster is a good way to describe it

I watched a 3Monkeys amp demo once (no longer posted) that sounded so good I couldn't believe it. That said, that Friedman demo that I just posted (Rocco Pezzin) also sounds pretty killer to me....and very bright.

If I just go by PassonforTone's comparison video, yes -- I can't hear much of a difference. I would expect though that the feel and response of each of them would be different. Is that worth $3800? There's obvoiusly no wrong answer.

Not being rude, ever been in the room with a Jose or watched a solid mic’d up video? They’re mosquitos. Angry, vicious mosquitos. (I love the tone but as my ears age I get it….)

I just don’t hear it. Yes it sounds bright, but theirs bright to me and Jose Marshall bright which as race said, I’m not alone. Again, I might be the dumb one.

Yes, I I've experienced a few Jose mod Marshalls...I live in LA. Ok then...there bright and then there's BRIGHT. So question: Bright or not...Does that demo not sound good to you? Maybe it's me that's dumb.

Does it sound good? Absolutely. Does it sound like a modded Marshall? Absolutely.

That amp was touted as Dave’s been in 50-100, nobody knows more or has seen more than him.

Does that amp sound like the best sounding Jose you’ve heard? Does it sound close?

Amps killer… but I’ve got non Jose modded Marshall’s that sound closer to my ears. I hate typing it, I know it sounds dumb but it just doesn’t snarl.

Take he who shall not be named for instance. You hear one of his modded Marshall’s and you instantly know, yup that’s mean. (If that’s your thing)

This to me sounds like another Friedman product. Well made, safe and pleasant. I want aggressive, probably going to break and who stole my wallet.

What's interesting is that there's been so much praise for this amp, yet if you really think about it, it's not really Dave's work. I mean, yes, he did have to determine the mods and figure it out, but he was mostly taking what was already created by Jose. So in a way, it's not really a "Friedman" Friedman amp.

I know it’s doubtful but anyone compared the Jose to the Phil X ?

I’m sure the Jose has more gain but I wonder if the best vs best is similar ?
