I like the 900s I've played better than the Stiletto series 1. I really dug the Stiletto series II though

The SLX is the better model in the JCM900 line.

Played a MKIII 900 that sounded pretty good.

MK III 900's are cool amps imo, owned two of them.

SLX was a sleeper.. The better of the 900 Series. I like it better then the DSL and JCM 2000. The Mesa Boogie Stiletto Ace with the "Fluid Drive" engaged is alot of 80's fun.

I've heard plenty of clips of the SLX but to me that MK III I played was awesome. It sounded very much like an 800.

For less than 1k Mike Holmgren here gets the modded greasy aquanet tone. Sounds like he's using delay and a boost, but who cares.
