I think the OG DF's are some of the best guitar pickups ever made. Can't anyone make excellent repros? I know Scott can but he's not making pickups ATM.
I have a few Psykes, and they are killer but don't quite get to the level of the OG DFs. They are their own thing though, as they are potted vs the DF that is not. The DF gets it's magic from being unpotted which means of course you are like Sykes and have to dance with your vol pot lol.
But I will always say that Scott's pups are only bested by vintage pickups that are unobtanium pricing....no new winds can touch them for what I like anyway. MCPs were my previous fav, with Wagners right there as well...but Tone Nerds are the Tops for me.

I saw one of the non-aged ones listed on Reverb for 15K a few days ago.

It sold but not sure at what price.

Look like it sold for $10k+? That very same one ('08 played VOS model) was for sale here in Europe at a store for 6k€ just before that; I thought about it when I saw it the first time but for too long , it sold quickly; to then be re-listed few days after at twice the price on reverb.
If the reverb sold price is accurate, that is still a $3k+ profit for a quick flip, not bad

I regret selling my sykes vos, really badass guitar, it sounded and felt great, some dude offered me more than i paid and i took the cash, but a few yrs later regretted it, i always figured i would get another one but prices keep going up now.

Pretty much where I'm at.
I have been impressed by an old Super Distortion I put in the Explorer. That was a surprise. Will probably end up putting the Godwood back in it, but there's no hurry.
