I don't normally but cranked in the Johan video, it sounds pretty damn good actually. I still prefer higher gain but it's pretty raunchy.

Fender amps can do so much. I have a Silverface Bassman and a Blues Jr, I feel like I can do almost anything other than crazy chugging (but you'd be surprised) with the right OD and EQ.

I think a lot of people just think cleans when they think of Fender amps, but Jim Marshall heard more than that in the tweed Bassman. I LOVE my Diezels, Bogners, Boogies, and Marshalls, but I LOVE my Fenders, too.

SF Twins are probably the best value ATM, but the SF Super Reverbs aren't far behind. The Rivera-era "II" series are sleepers, when they're healthy, they can be amazing.

My current Top 12 (that's two louder, innit):
  1. '64 6G6B Blonde Bassman (JTM-45 Killer)
  2. '61 6G9A Blonde Tremolux
  3. '57 Reissue 5E5A Tweed Pro
  4. '67 Blackface Super Reverb
  5. '73 Silverface Pro Reverb
  6. '57 Reissue 5E3 Tweed Deluxe
  7. '65 Reissue Blackface Twin Reverb
  8. '59 Reissue 5F6A Tweed Bassman
  9. '62 6G7A Blonde Bandmaster
  10. '62 Reissue 6G2 Brown Princeton
  11. '76 Silverface Twin Reverb
  12. '65 Reissue Blackface Deluxe Reverb

That list is like a dream inside of a dream to me.

It must be a tough choice. To build a throne of tone; a condundrum I can only wish to encounter.
That makes sense. Some carefully placed vintage fenders topped by nice pillows would work as a couch, chair, or even a bed if necessary. I once thought that if I had enough money I could build a tiny home out of SF Twin reverbs. That would be unique and the Nuge would be jealous AF of me.
