Like trying little too hard to do zep.
They bug the hell outta me. I heard the first few songs they released and was just sitting there saying, WTF!?! Seriously? Whatever though, if they get anyone from the younger crowd listening to rock music, more power to 'em.

On one hand, its great to see kids playing rock.
On the other hand, they're going to look back and be embarrassed dressing like hippies. :lol

My 18yo daughter pointed them out to me, yeah she's a Zep and Classic Rock freak...we raised her well!

I have to admit I was floored at how good it is...copy or not the talent will out and these guys will eventually find their own voice I'm sure.

AS most in this thread, I like it more than anything they call Rock these days \m/

I feel like these guys are kind of a teenie bopper band with a Zep/throwback schtick...very marketable and entertaining, but musically I don't think they really rock nearly as well as other throwback bands like Rival Sons or Scorpion Child. Would not be my first choice to listen to.

This.
Drives me crazy when I see retro acts dressing like modern day hippies. Really?

It's almost as bad as looking back at the spandex / hairspray band photos from the 80's.

I actually dig this new band.

You guys should watch some interviews with GTF and you'll understand the music, the outfits, etc. Their parents raised them on old blues records, Zeppelin, Deep Purple, etc. and they kind of gravitated towards that with their playing style, etc.

They are more than just a band thrown together to rip off Zeppelin. Three of them are family and a friend playing drums. They are working on an album right now and that will be the make or break in my opinion. I'm hoping they break off a bit from the Zep vibe and just do some great music.

Ya they been rockers for years.
Used to win lot of local talent shows.

I really enjoy their album. I saw them here in Houston recently, and was not all that impressed. After the third song, everything started to sound the same. The second song included a 10 minute guitar "solo." I could tell that they are a young band. With maturity, I think they could be a cool band. With that said, in this day and age they will probably be gone in two years time.

Was checking these guys out a bit today. Not bad.
I am not a fan of most classic rock including Zeppelin. I appreciate some songs here and there, but there is something about the quality of the recorded guitar tones that always lost me.
That said there are some current bands bringing back the 70s rock vibe that I really like and enjoy the recorded tones more. Absolutely love Rival Sons and just started listening to Dirty Thrills.

Who cares if anyone rips off Led Zep since Led Zep were about as guilty as anyone in the rip off department early on. But Led Zep did find themselves as they went on and became uniquely original.
