Here You Go EVH at his best . . .

It always cracks me up watching this vid, after that big tough guy build up, Michael's mousy little voice pops in. The solo always struck me as feeble too and slightly out of tune. Quincy Jones is the stand out here.

Completely disagree. That is not EVH at his best. There are albums worth of examples to the contrary.

In my humble opinion I think the beat solo fucking sucks   ..... i had to get it of my chest

Supposed to read; "...Michael Jackson at his best..."

When ever I see this guy, I can't help thinking of those MJ jokes like "When is it bed time at MJ's house?"

Cant believe Michael Jackson promotes Gang violence. Couldnt he of just showed the guys in a tickle fight instead?

Michael Jackson SUCKS
Eddie Van Halen DOES NOT SUCK
Besides the fact that he played a 30 second guitar solo on a Michael Jackson song, mentioning the two in the same sentence is a crime.

Oh yeah this solo sucks , yeah that's it !!
Lol
Too funny !!
Eddie did this live in one take with a small amp , never got payed either .
It's all a matter of opinion !!
Mine says its killer and so is Eddie !!!
What solo do you guys have that's memorable ????

What did Michael Jackson and Acne have in common?

They both came on your face when you turned 12.

It was refreshing to see Michael Jackson dangling a baby over a balcony that time...

Usually he tossed them off.

Michael Jackson was the height of cool at that point, poke all the fun you want at how his life unfolded. But you know you tried to moonwalk at least once if you were around during that time, we all did.

I love it man...that's my childhood for better or worse, and it's not about Eddie laying down some monster solo on that tune, but rather the fact that he was up for it in the first place, just a cool little side thing and fun footnote to his early career.

I'm sure a lot of us have already read this, but even Eddie's recollection is entertaining:

Michael Jackson music = no guitar. Therefore, IMO, it SUCKS.
You couldn't pay me to listen to that shit. He was part of the MTV era. I get it. Yeah, the guy can sing, and maybe he can arrange music and whatnot. I don't know what involvement he had in that regard, I just can't fucking stand the guy and I'm glad he's not pumping out any more fucking POP FUCKING BULLSHIT MUSIC.

I don't like POP, you dig? Now, this is the internet folks. I'm just voicing my opinion. You can listen to whatever you want. I'm a guitar player. I don't really like much music without guitar in it. I do not like electronic pop bullshit music. But I do listen to Chopin and I also listen to Eminem sometimes. A far superior talent to that pedophile Michael Jackson.

And, yeah, I use to watch the Thriller video in the 80's. I was a kid. Everybody did. But there's a whole lot of good new music out there folks and Michael Jackson ain't it.
