That sounds workable. Odd, I hate the red channel of the EVH, but this pedal sounds better than the 5150 pedal in this vid..

Yeah, it's not voiced like the 5150 pedal. I love this new model.

I think I would probably like this vs the regular 5150 OD too *_*

Yup, and of course he used MXR going way back to the Gene Simmons demo album, which I think is what finally got them their first contract and IMHO is good-enough to consider an actual VH album.

Considering it was a demo and mixed in the late '70s I reckon the engineering and mixing were top-notch except for a couple o' spots where the guitar suddenly got a whole-lot louder (too-loud).
