I had a blast in my WS-6 stage coach. Quit being a snob.

Well, I guess I must be partial to older cars that were classics. I'd kill for one of these, a 69 Trans Am with Ram Air Induction. 400 CID/366hp, 4 BBL, 4 speed.

Until I can put a 69 Trans Am clone together (real ones start at $100k), I've settled for a 98 convertible with every power option available. It cost 1/10th of a real one, and it had 27k original miles on it. Hard to say no, so I didn't. Or shall I say my wife didn't. I woke up the day after I bought it to payment for it sent from my wife's checking account.

The car in the video the OP posted is an early 70's Firebird Formula, not a Trans Am.

And yes, my cover band used to do Loverboy songs in the early 80's...guilty as charged. But the ladies loved those guys so we played their fairly simplistic tunes to watch them shake their butts. Selfish, you say? Aw, sorry about that.

I loved the 80's but will pass on the Loverboy, and the Trans Am. Live rear axle? LOL, at stagecoach technology.

That's a Formula, not a Trans am...

Posi-Traction is where it's at, my friend.. and don't you forget it!

You straight line guys... spending all that time and effort and money for something that lasts 11-12 seconds. That reminds me too much of my prom night. :D

I grew up in the Midwest and was a huge muscle car freak. Then I came out to So Cal to visit my cousins. I promptly made fun of their Datsun 240z and 510 and BMW 2002's (fully prepped but what did I know) and tried to explain to them what my '68 Mustang with a 302 and dual quads would do to their foreign crap boxes. They just smirked at me and took me down the freeway a little bit. We ended up on Mulholland Highway and after one run over that famous street, I have never looked at cars the same way again. I never will. So Cal is full of roads like this and has many road racing tracks. I am still TOTALLY hooked 32 years later. I still remember my cousin saying to me over and over and over again, "if we were in your Mustang, we'd be dead right now".

Muscle car cure:

My drummers other band plays all the old 80's shit.
When I go out to see him, I ask him for the set list so I can come late or step outside for a smoke when they are going to play Livin on a Prayer.

Dang man, your snobbery goes way back!

11-12 seconds on the 1/4 is certainly fun but I enjoy the additional displacement around town too. Different strokes for different folks.

I was ready to get defensive....then I realized I have the following:

- 2006 Black Ford Mustang GT
- KISS Man Cave
- Still do breakdancing moves at work
- Give people the rocker "devil horns" as a form of saying hello

That pretty much covers a lot of us here on the forum. :)

The look on the wife's face is priceless, and sadly all too real for some of you gents.

Holy shit this guy has 74JMP NAILED.

I'm not just a straight line guy, I like some turns in my driving too, assuming it's not the Pikes Peak road race!

Then I pull this out...

I've had to do some serious upgrades and fixes, but the Z51 handling package and matching Bilstein Z51 shocks made this car take all of the corners with ease. Now when I see any curves, I look at the speed limit and multiply times two.

Unfortunately, my idea of fun is the brother of the silver Sequoia across your street...it'll get through 3ft of snow though!

I do not think any street legal car on the planet can touch this thing.

Although the nissan gtr may come close for one 20th of the price..

What is this, a fast n furious fan forum now? How many of you guys want to be Vin Diesel? I love that commercial and I love that he guy stays true to his roots. I also love the look of an American muscle car. Love the euro designs too but nothing screams fuck you like Americana with an obnoxious exhaust. I have a little turbo Mazda that is fun to drive but it mostly screams Tokyo drift and anime than hey, look at my dick!

Oh, and lover boy is great, don't let chubtone fool ya, he probably also doesn't like Lee Aaron so can we really take him seriously?!

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? Lee Aaron was great in The Dirty Dozen.

Around town? Around town?!!!! Around town to you is Ortega Freakin Highway. One of the greatest roads in So Cal! So what if the drop-offs are a few hundred feet at every corner? The bottoms of those canyons are muscle car collection zones
