Maybe the mkii is better but my mki 50 doesn't seem as loud as a 50 watt Marshall and although the clean sounds great, there isn't a lot of volume while remaining Chrystal clean. I use humbuckers so keep that in mind. Single coil guitars or low output hums will obviously be better for clean tones.
