It's cool we got the 5150, but it was still a dick move toward Mike's amp.
Both Mesa and Peavey committed theft, to a degree anyway. We of course benefitted from it. SLOs have always been spendy and the Recto/5150s have been much more attainable for the masses.

Different strokes for different folks... I personally didn't care for the 5150 tone when it came out, I actually won a first year production 5150 stack in Guitar Player Magazines's guitar competition and sold it immediately after recieving it The early Roth era Marshall tone is what most guitarists talk about today and still try to replicate..
