I knew I was undercharging but wow .....

Like I've mentioned lately ...... you guys ( the board ) keep me busy enough ....

now if i could work it out to where I could drop my day gig ..... then there's a different situation .... I would go " All in "

but for me to get there .... in my head anyway ... is a long way from where I'm at now
Maybe we will get there together. I know who the first Uncle I turn to when I have FX needs is!

While it is that, the pedal to me is better for cleans and pulling out some of those harsh mids on a Fender, and smoothing out the bass. It's a subtle pedal. But every pedal has many uses!
You're using a bassman. I have a Twin. I tamed some annoying high end stuff happening and tightened up my bass response a little with mine.

I want to do some more experimenting with it as a boost. I tried but it didn't boost as much as I was looking for at the time. I wonder how it'd work if I dialed back the gain on my OD and ramped up the level control or just some of the boost frequencies on the pedal? I have a lot of experimenting to do. So many Waynzo pedals, so little time.

interesting ..... I didn't think it was subtle at all in a high gain setting ...... it was like a scalpel ... I could cut and shape like a mother !

that's what made it interesting .... that you mentioned subtle .... I never tried it with say ... my Fillmore 50 ....

hmmmmm ......
Try it with the fillmore...and a strat or tele. EQ the amp on breakup... and then start EQing with the pultec with a little reverb on. Then slightly raise the gain on the amp

It is both subtle and a scalpel simultaneously. Very much a precision instrument. That's what makes it great. I always photograph my settings in case they get messed up. That'd be a nightmare for a luddite like me to sort out before a show if a gremlin changed my settings.

I just realized that we are writing an owners manual for the person who purchases this from GC, with the guy who built the pedal.
I had to read the manual to be able to figure it out. Quite honestly a big box with all the parameters silkscreened onto it would be ideal but then I'd have to build a whole new board to accommodate it, which presents a whole other set of issues. Mainly, fitting it in the bluesmobile.

You finally made it

It is interesting because the random dude who would buy that won't know what it is, why it's used, how to use it, and how it has been used. Maybe they will research it and find here.
I get most of my outside ( outside of the forum ) customers from them googling " a better SD-1 or modded SD-1 "

I've had several people sign up here just to grab one ... and they tell me that's how they found me ...

I would think anyone familiar with recording equipment would see what the controls are named and get the gist of it.
