I use an Onyx 1620 desk for monitoring. It'd be great if it had a big knob but as inelegant as it is, it does the job.

Long-time Mackie fan. Rocked a CR-1604 back in the '90s.

Hell yeah.. I had a mint 1604 VLZ in a road case. Shoulda' held on to it..
Still have the 24.8

Yup, the VLZ versions of the CR desks rocked!

Lower noise floor and better preamps IIRC.

This thing is made out of thick metal.. I was surprised how heavy it is.
