Cameron's mods have been reverse engineered on the Metro forum (and similar) for a long time.
I've never seen a thread at Metro with his mods reverse engineered. He is active over there and I'm sure he would have raised hell about it. Point me to the thread(s). I don't believe what you're saying is right/true...

Steve

I know 2 forumites personally (friends in real life) that post there and got the schematics from other members.
It's all on the d-low :D
I've even come across them on other DIY amp and pedal forums while researching.
Getting the schematics isn't hard...making it sound identical is.

I got a phone call from Mark imediately afterward (sorry Mark, too late here, I'm 2 hours behind you).

...Cameron can suddenly appear, surf the web, and make phone calls whenever his business appears to be "threatened" but can't get off his ass to actually make the product that people have paid money for...

Sean, I think this is the first time on record that we agree. People go without phone calls or emails unanswered about the amps they've sent, or the money that's thrown some ninja smoke and disappeared, but incorporate some personal interest and Mark Cameron is all over it. If I was someone with a CCV on order, or had an amp somewhere in his complex waiting to be completed, I'd be pissed out of my mind.

If you search under his name you will find where he talks about Jose master volume and what rating zener diode he uses for the sound he is looking for. I believe another member has a layout of it and how to do it. I know he does more mods then that but there is some info out there on the metro forum.
Pretty interesting to add SS clipping to the signal to get distortion.? Sounds good.

If you search here, you can see the schematic of an amp I'm building that has the Jose Master you are talking about with the diode clipping using zeners, however that is not what I'm talking about. Mark's mods have alot more to them then just the Jose Master. The poster I responded to indicated that Mark's full mods had been reverse engineered over at Metro and I asked him to post the threads. These don't exist at Metro. Now it is all on the "d-low"....

So, as I said, there are no schematics of Mark's full mods on Metro, right? This all sounds a bit fishy to me. If you really have the schematics or can get them, post them and I'll tell you if they are accurate.

Probably because you're not interested in the fever pitch modding of these for male use like a bunch of crybabies out there...

I'd like to add something. I told a couple people through PM's about my friend doing this amp. One of these people told Mark about this. This is how he found out, not by my post because it was too soon after I posted it and I got the call. So....I'd like to know who called him and told him about it.

Anybody?

Anybody?

go ahead and speak up whoever did....
you don't have to worry about anything..

JB is a girl and won't do shit!

And if you threaten him back, he may tell ya who will do the mod! I heard they do it cheap, like $250 bux..
:D

I was not involved with this PM fiasco and all further questions can be forwarded to my internet attorney Velco Stevie.

obviously someone secretly in the fanboi club or someone read PM's again and called him on the bat phone.
Funny how hard it is to get a hold of Mark...and then how easy it is to get a hold of Mark.

I was at Mike Soldano's shop back in the late 90's and we talked about a amp that was very popular that part of is very similar to the SLO. He told me he was not going after it because of money involved in chasing something like that and the fact that a large part of the SLO had been stole from the makers of this amp. He borrowed from them and they borrowed back. ..... he did not look happy about it.

The modern and vintage have been have been taken apart by more than one person. It is only a matter of time before these kinds of things happen.

Think about it ..... if you had someone take apart your car and build you a other one do you think it would be the same ? Do you think you would save any money ?

The amount of people who are into playing that do not buy Fender / Marshall / Mesa is very small. The time or economy of a release is a large factor. There is always a big wave of buys. Followed by a bunch of people selling the "new" amp because it is not for them for many different reasons.

Most of these amp that are in the $2000 range max out around 150 sold. After that it slows down a lot or dies. The amps that cost more than that even smaller. The window of opportunity is very small. Not many go beyond that.

I'm currently setting up shop in my local Holiday Inn. Check with my secretary before coming down here.

you have to wonder if this whole thing is maybe just all sexual?
If I could just somehow get a hold of Mark I could be happy...but it's very hard.
