nope. similar key maybe song structure, and common metal themes...AI Lay Dying, is chugs, frenetic riffs, drums, breaks, timing, etc.. less melodic, less rock-riffs.

but that's a full-on Stryper song - riffs, melodies, midrange honk, time. vocal harmonies, etc., to my ears.

Yeah, I've listened to a lot of Stryper throughout the years and this sounds just like Stryper to me... these guys have been around a long time.. if anything, someone copied them.

At this point, every rock/metal riff/song structure conceivable has been played on published albums umpteen times, then the SAME riffs have been played again detuned or via alt tunings umpteen times.

Dream Theater alone has played EVERY riff umpteen times.
