I am not too fond of his vocals, but I don't mind them.

His playing is outstanding, and is doing a good job of keeping guitar playing alive.

I can't get past that Joe looks like the dude stalking Keanu in the Matrix...

I dig Joe but I really prefer his old Trio and Fender tone. Really miss that Joe.

Joe's "day job" is being a professional, worldwide touring musician. Your logic is only equalled by your stupidity.

Now, why don't you AXEUSANOTHERQUESTION ?
agreed what is the op's point here?

I think Bonamassa is a great player, but I honestly miss the sound before he turned into an E.J. clone, I don't know what happened that made him switch from a bluesy sound to phrasing just like E.J. and licks that sound like him too... I don't know I feel his playing was more natural and less forced before he did that, but then again I never listened to him a ton early on... but do remember him when just came out a long long time ago.

Joe is the man and deserves allot of credit for the way he approaches music and making a career out of it. His playing during his earlier trio years is still my favorite. His A New Day Yesterday Live CD/DVD is amazing!

Joe is awesome...listen to "Ballad of John Henry"...enough said...

Best quotes I ever heard:

"If you think music is a contest, you've lost before you even started"
"Art was never meant to be a race with a winner"

I'll just enjoy them both.

Joe on guitar. Glenn on vocals.
Rock n roll.
Problem solved.
You're welcome.

Not dogging JB but that album is a snooze-fest for me. Never been a huge Glenn Hughes fan though. JB can get a little too Eric Johnson like for me (there's already an EJ) but he touches on enough other things that I like him enough. I prefer more raw tones and phrasing though so I can only take him in small doses.

BCC is one of the best albums I have heard in the last 5 years. I have it on constant rotation. I dislike when he switches into EJ mode, but there isn't a lot of that on there and he has tones of raw tones on there to balance out his EJ stuff. I much prefer his harder edge riffing and solos. Hughes bass and voices mixed with JB's riff's and solos really sell it for me. The one thing I don't like about EJ is that even though he is super proficient technically, his playing and tone lacks balls to me. When JB adopts his style, at least on BCC he adds the balls to EJ's style. It is like he took it the step further that I needed to even like it. He added the drive and the more aggressive tone. I still prefer his more raw, rock tone and style...but at least it is an improvement. The one thing I don't dig on BCC is when JB sings. I like him as a singer, but I prefer Hughes in BCC.

He’s not a Robin Trower. Guy needs to keep his day job...not in the same universe.

Imbeciles should automatically get banned on forums like this. You just proved that you definitely qualify for that description. If i were the administrator i would ban you for lifetime just because there is no chance that a person which performs with intellectual lowest level statements like "Joe Bonamassa- What a joke-Laff!!!" can ever contribute in whatsoever context in a constructive manner .
For your sake i hope you are on drugs but i would guess that state of mind is irreversible.
My sincerest condolences to you.
Maybe you are "just" a Troll but that wouldn`t strengthen your case either.
