It doesn't surprise me Schon uses EVH gear. If you are an 80's guy, the EVH stuff has everything you are looking for. In matter of fact, if EVH was able to produce these current amps in the 80's, they would have sold like hot cakes.

Yeah, Luke has had the Helios amps for a few years now, he used the XTC for several years before that and has been with Bogner for probably ten years at this point. Time flies!

Saw the tour early last year, in Sacramento.
Luke sounded killer.
Schon sounded pretty good.(no amps on stage) His solo going into "Wheel In The Sky" was fantastic,
as he quoted a bunch of the HSAS tunes during the solo.

I'd love to see the Journey band dynamic right now . I'd be amazed if Schon and Jonathan Cain could be on the same stage ! Of course let's not forget that money trumps everything !!

Schon seems to always be trying new gear. I bought one of several Satriani JVMs he was selling a few years back. He also had several Diezels he was offloading, a couple Zakk Wylde 2203s, a few Fender amps. Or maybe he was liquidating to fund his divorce settlement? He doesn't seem to be the endorsement whore that Lynch is though, lol.

Schon is a douchebag. And you’d be hard pressed to find a bigger Journey fan than me. I met him when I was 16. Was pre-warned about him and they were right.
