Sounds like the amps Iv been doing for the last 17 years and they(splawn & my stuff) do not sound alike so ...... Scott does his thing I do mine. I wish people would stop trying to start shit with me and Scott ....Don't you think its getting old. I think the Splawn guys will tell you you don't know shit too.

I just came off some internet clips of Splawn's Nitro amp, then this clip and it s...nevermind.

Mark try not to sweat that stuff. As time passes and more people got to play both amps I'm sure they'll quickly figure out the differences and which they like best. I think most of this comes from the fact that they're newer amps on the market, most guys haven't played both yet so we have speculation. We all now that clips and videos are nice and can be helpful but misleading. Besides how somebody dials in your amp and how I would dial it in might be completely different, so I take all clips with a grain of salt. I remember when you helped me with my Uberschall and XTC 101b a few years back over the phone. You are super cool in my book for doing that and I wish you all the best success. I breifly owned a Splawn and although Scotts amp wasn't quite for me he to is a cool guy and I wish him great success also. Take care.

IMO, obviously.

EDIT: The only reason i mentioned Splawn was because it's the only 'modded marshall toned' amp i own.
I am not a fanboi.

im also tired of the splawn and cameron threads were guys go at each other and both amp brands get bashed. it seems that theres always somebody that tries to get everybody pissed off and talk shit about scotts amps not being as good as marks or marks not being as good as scotts, both are great amp builders and should be respected for what they do.

I agree thats an asshole thing to do, You cant compare things like that, two different design both guys worked very hard for, why would you down grade one over the other, they are both great in their own rights, leave it at that. Why would you do that?

It's like comparing Gutierrez and GMW, both make great instruments, but are very different in their own way. ones not better than the other, it's just a matter of preference, and taste.

FWIW, I happen to like both, but I prefer Marks. not because I have talked with him and not Scott, or that he's a member here, or have followed the fanboys that are here, I have played both, and for MY tone, I would LOVE to have one of Marks amps, but at the same time, I wouldn't turn down one of Scotts amps either. (see sig, granted it's a cab but still has the name on it).
