4x12 you're correct.
On the MF US-tour of '99 I did use a Line6 amp,the HD-Head. A very good "live amp" but a bit tricky to get good settings/sounds from at first.
The trick to get a good sound is to back off on the gain stage of the amp...but that goes for a lot of amps out there.
I used the same amp on the last KD EU-tour too. Next tour I might end up using my Peavey 6505's...we'll see.

I'll choose bolt-on any given day.
I think it has a lot more treble than a set-neck and brings out the attack of the pick in a different way
BUT it also depends on what kind of neck it is...on Strat styled necks I prefer Maple/Maple
since I always thought that Rosewood fretboards make a (too) dark and muddy tone...at least on my Strats.
