Mostly done! Just doing some voicing changes here and there for myself because I lean more toward angrier tunes haha. Trying to decide on depth cap and treble cap values. Then I might play around with different voltages and filtering. But she's sounding mean! Quite tight and thumpy with the new filter caps and grounding.

How much does what the guitar is tuned to come into play when dialing in an amp?
Do you do different things for an amp that will be used with guitars tuned to D Standard/Drop C ?

Great question. It is absolutely something I consider. The low E on a guitar is 82Hz. If you cut too much bass in certain parts of the circuit, you can eat into that fundamental and harmonics of it. If someone down-tunes, I want to make sure the amp 1) amplifies frequencies conducive to low D, C, etc. and 2) remains strong and tight in bass response for those frequencies. In the preamp, this is done by tuning cathode bypass cap and plate coupling cap values, among other things. Filtering is also important.

If you check out some of the past clips I posted for this specific mod in the other threads, some of them are with a guitar tuned down at least a full step in Drop C. And some are done with a guitar in standard/drop D. I've got this particular mod in a place where it works well for either. And that's without a boost. With a boost... it's pretty damn tight and aggressive.

That said, I can do different things to the amp if the owner tells me they only play 7/8 string, etc. or with certain speakers, or with certain pickups, etc.
