The first Candlebox album has the best recorded drum tones of any rock album...

ej might be a closet 'mo

i prefer steve perry's voice to any other rock singer in history (however ray gillan ruled, ian thornley rules, and halford dio and tate had their moments 4 shitzle)

legendary rack tones died after landau and huff folded up shop

frank riberry and carlos tevez had a son named gary moore

metallica and slayer fans know nothing about music and wear helmets in the shower to prevent further brain injury

king crimson and derek bailey are genius musical pioneers, if you are addicted to an opium and flakka cocktail

alexander howard dumble deserves henry kaiser's friendship until death within the crystal lattice do them part

steve vai is practicing belly dancing so he can appear more exotic in concert

the only modern white blues guy who sounds like a black guy when you close your eyes is jonny lang; srv/clapton/joe b-----gong!

slo and vh4 do not impress me in the least (but the guys who make them are cool)

tyler headstocks puch face and will violently examine your publically traded prostate canal if you disagree

:)

A few from my neck of the woods:

(1) Black Sabbath slipped a bit after Vol 4 came out.
(2) Grand Funk Railroad's best work was done before Craig Frost joined.
(3) Jefferson Airplane should never have changed their name.
(4) Poco's little known claim to fame is they were the farm club for the Eagles.

Film at 11.

People who don't like The Beatles don't like music - it's that simple.

I believe that 99% of people claiming to like The Beatles spend approximately 0% of their time actually listening to The Beatles.

Fuckin this. You ask them and they start going off about how much of a genius Lennon was but can name 2% of all the songs and one album. Gimme a fuckin break.

Traditionalism has its place but not in any arguments about musical opinions. Piss off, fuckin Beatles. Please.

In terms of your historical status, dying young, charismatic, and just slightly after your artistic peak is the best career move a widely known/popular musician can make. I'd make a list here but we all know who we're talking about.

Along that line:
If I never have to see another Jimi Hendrix guitar magazine cover again , I'll be cool with it, thanks. I get that he was influential (half a CENTURY ago), but there is literally nothing new/interesting you can say about the guy or his music at this point.

Iron Maiden's Seventh Son is a grossly underrated album; if it were put out by another band of that era it'd be that band's best album.

-all iron maiden songs sound like the theme from BONANZA- yeah!! The FUCKIN STEAK HOUSE bitches!!

-if you think the only relevant musicians exist in your life time,... You need an O.J. SIMPSON neck tie you pimply faced, cellar dwelling, cheese eating, ying-yang loving, back pack wearing, pants on the floor, tiny dicked, tree hugging, anti CIG smoking,Yahoo's!!

I don't like the feel of el34 amps in general.

Poison was a great rock band.

Bruce Kulick is my favorite Kiss guitarist.

I don't like playing Les Paul's although they sound great.

-The only interesting thing about Reza's video amp demos are his rugs (great recorded tones for his band though)

Dude seriously? Quit making it personal. Dude busts out some cool gear demos. Stop whining, no one is making you watch. Jesus.

Another one from me -
Scotland have contributed fuck-all to Rock music with the notable exceptions of The Proclaimers, Sheena Easton & Big Country.
Ok and the Young Brothers - but that's it.

Nazareth where pretty good? Biffy Clyro do great radio rock, Bay City Rollers, Primal Scream, Simple Minds, Texas, Mogwai, Runrig. We do not to bad :)

Quite proud of our bustling music scene, hard rock shows in Glasgow still sell out, people are friendly, a very unbitchy and chilled scene. Sounds like London has some issues if dudes like you hang around haha, I'll stick to my local gigs up here! It's the kind of scene where if you enjoy the music, the band will buy you a beer!

My unpopular opinion - London rock scene is full of hipster, self centered, opinionated, angry and anxiety ridden people. I'm not looking forward to seeing Europe and Dare as much as I would if they where playing up here. Will have to put up with the usual Londoner "me me me" chat and the drinking wine glasses of their own farts

- Tubes are near their death, finally. I'm so sick of this '900 low-quality technology.

Ummmm, you sure?

Digital modelling is fashionable right now, but just like Vinyl tubes will always be here and people will always go back to them.
Only thing easier than setting a modelling amp to sound like a tube amp is to buy a tube amp

Real men play tube amps.
