Listening to this isolated vs in the mix is interesting to me. So much goes into the mix that brings it all together. I know some here arent Lynch fans but Lynch and this album is the sole inspiration i started playing guitar when I was young. Thought i’d share for all the Lynch fans that may appreciate it.

Idk why people would dislike his lead playing
It’s amazing
But I get not liking Dokken for some
But George ? Come on .
His what I’ve found when teaching his stuff
Many ties he plays just same notes as everyone else . But like EVH he has the slurpy feel in his hands that many guitars just don’t have . He floors
Jason Richardson is an example . Dudes a machine and the most technical on earth in metal . But he’s got zero feel and zero improv skills ( which he admits ).
I grew up during grunge so I was not big into Dokken . But I studied his solos
So I think if people are honest that are not into Dokken they would agree George rules in reality

Tooth, ULAK and BFTA era Lynch was my favorite. IMO he was pretty untouchable at this point and then he capped it off with Back for the Attack which I wore that album out. Night by Night and Sleepless are my fav off BFTA, that was always what I was shooting back then in terms of playing.

I liked Lynch Mob but those three albums are three of my favorite albums of the 80's. At times his playing was like throwing a cat in a blender, I loved it. I just always felt that when it came to soloing, George was a step ahead of guys like Warren and other players of this era.

I still play those songs bout every week LOL.

not my shit, never heard of him.
After listening to a few tracks i definitely have to appreciate and respect his speed technique

Some of it reminds me of Eddie runs

Love Lynch's playing. This is a killer album, with what I consider his worst tone of the Dokken era. His playing is just crazy.
The tone is definitely not as good as ulak etc…. But yet it still fits the songs and album well for some reason to me.

Lynch (one of my top 3 all time for sure....) is such an enigma... Dude at one point was absolutely bonkers (lynch mob recordings Soldano era) and at other times just seems like he forgot how to play... Then has flashes. Crazy.

I do think out of everyone in that era, nobody threw as much crap on the wall that was as tasty while being unique, sorry not sorry.

I agree there are times he plays something and i’m like ummmmm thats crap … but i like the fact he is true to himself and whether he lands on his feet or not he leaps and takes jumps to play what he wants. But when he is on fire. Geez. He can rip!

I'm sorry, to me he's not even a pimple on EVH, Rhoads or YJM's ass.
And as far as 'B' league 80's guitar heroes go, John Skyes, Arika Takasaki, Ronnie Le Tekro, Harry Cody, Andy Laroque are superior players IMO.
I hear his skill but I just don't like his never ending pinch harmonics in the lead breaks, sideways finger sliding vibrato and (IMO) poor sense of melody.

I prayed to Randy so there is that....

Akira played f sharp accidental every single solo so theres that...

You got Sykes everytime he played.. Outside of Is this Love, was he ever really melodic or just flat out shred? (At this point you're killing it... I'm on your side)

Andy..... (You son of a bitch...) I'll give you Andy... Amazing. Black Horsemen haunts my dreams, best concerts I've been to.

I like that he sounds like he’s always going for something to tickle his own ears. Not just on scale auto pilot.

Man that just sounds awesome lol

George's always had an awesome sense of melody
