Lynch’s Isolated leads from Back for the Attack album

George definetely had his own style and never strayed from it. Spastic is a good description lol.
I loved dokken up until back for the attack. Wasn't crazy about vocals and cheesy songs but loved all of George's playing.

That tone shows you DO NOT have to slam the gain knob past 12 to 1 o'clock.

Gain up the solos thought.

If I remember correctly, I had "Wicked" on a Learn to play these tunes on VHS.

I FUCKING gave up real quick.

It is so great to hear this without having to endure Dawn Dokkens vocals. :)
Well said.
And you never hear of a really great singer telling the bass payer "this band sucks."

A guy I knew long ago had these cassette tapes of a singer he knew from Fla.
It was nothing but practice of him going through a reputation of any note a singer should be able to hit.

Here’s a hot take, my favorite “Dokken”album is Up From the Ashes with Billy White and John Sorum.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Lynch and and his work with Dokken and Lynch Mob, but the songwriting and guitar solos on Don’s solo album are more my speed.

There was definitely great guitar playing on that album! Norum is great. Just a different style and vibe than Lynch has. I like that album as well.

Agreed. I also love the production and mix on that album - especially the drums and guitar tones.

But Lynch is still in my top 5 favorite guitar players. Tooth and Nail, Under Lock and Key, Back for the Attack, and Wicked Sensation are an incredible run of albums for George.

Love Lynch and always will. Easily one of favorite players. He has been consistently awesome live in the past 5 years or so, but there was a time when live he was not quite where I expected him to be.

Overall though, live he is still dangerous. He will hit some familiar parts of his solos, but he just goes for it most of the time and I love the spontaneity of it all. He plays what he feels at the time and I like not knowing what I am going to get. Tracey Guns does the same thing. Just looks like he is having a good time standing in front of real amps wound up and then has fun.

On the other hand, watching Peteucci live you know what you are going to hear next. Still incredible to witness that skill level though. My first DT show was at the Al Rosa Villa on the Images and Words tour. Hard to comprehend how in awe I was. Yes. The Al Rosa is where the Dime thing happened.
