You can really hear the Blackmore influence in his early days IMO.
Lol true. Bonnet is so hard to take seriously. I don't know how he landed so many gigs apart from the fact that he said yes to next to no money?he was so fiery and clean back then! killer strat/marshall tones and good memories but man how wonderful would it have been to have replaced GB with Dio in that scenario!? the whole alcatrazz era was tolerating broadway ethel's awkward james dean/west side story/miami vice persona long enough to get to the next groundbreaking yngwie solo.
Men don't say shutup stupid like a 5 year old ???Shutup stupid, the men are talking..
I can add nothing to this statement........No one does Schenker better than Schenker....
He more or less played the middle lead note for note on the parts that matter so there is no doubt he respected Schenker's playing. I also felt he screwed around too much but I disagree with some of you guys saying there is no substance here. That outro solo is rippin.Yngwie's playing has it's place... but the I'll show you how superior my playing is by wanking every other measure within a song gets somewhat tiring to my ears.
Schenkers solo's fit the song structures better, they are more melodic, follow the tempo and flow with the songs.
What I just heard Ynqwie doing just sounds spastic and cluttered. Yeah, I know he sweep picks really fast and likes to emulate Paganini but sometimes it just doesn't fit.![]()
It was great and so is YJM, still the KING IMO.Man tough crowd, I thought it was great. Yngwie was way more restrained than the comments were making out. Desert Song is one of my favourite tracks of that Schenker era. I saw him play a few years ago on that tour when all his MSG singers were with him. Graham Bonnet sounded amazing for his age. They all did actually Barden and McAuley too. Was an awesome show.
Pretty cool, a bit too much pissing around and making it hard for Bonnet to sing (if you call it that lol - shout?) but the outro solo is blistering and super precise. I don't agree with the caption that he plays better than Michael ever could as Schenker is so unique that nobody does it him like him. He's also very melodic in a different way than Malmsteen.
