I paid 1800 for mine and it came with the original tubes, manual, footswitch, and also new tubes. Bought it off Mark2C and the guts look impeccable. It did not however come with a mesa slip cover... Guess I got ripped, damn

Only worth it if it was in a "smoke free studio"

What if someone smoked a pole in the same room as the amp?

Groupie or man on man? :dunno:

Tvd would actually know the answer to that better than me, ask him.

  I was shocked to find out you're in your 30's exp!! hahaha

Definitely groupie

The very early ones had Mark III transformers. They sound pretty different with this transformer.
Mike Fortin the last time I asked him did not do any modifications on Mesa amps.

This price is just goofy.

Ok, sounds fine then. I'd still have to go over it with a black light before the purchase though for any stray jelly babies

Barely 31, how old did you think I was?

I won't be able to comment on any stray jelly babies when my recto arrives haha, definitely up there on one of the better moments of my so far short-lived life. I'm coming off a p.o.s. 15w vox so this is number 1 as far as I'm concerned in my amp collection. Although rig-talk is mostly just a gas station that only sells premium   , I'm trying to build the sound I want to hear over and over again, not sit around in a room full of shit I barely use. As I said, if I were going to pony up 3g's for an amp it shore as heeel wouldn't go towards anything like this.

As for your age EXP, you really don't want to know

i do not mess with them either. i have never done modifications for anyone who owns one.

my personal reason is that you can only do so much for an amplifier design to make what you believe to be improvements before you either loose the natural intended tone of the amplifier or you have so much labor in it, that it is not worth your time.

also, and this is IMHO - i dislike mesa build quality and engineering. not the best.

If I had 3k to blow the only amp I would be looking at would be a VH4  I doubt I'll ever have 3k again though so I will have to be happy with what I have

Ask Mike ..... there are very few amps he well do modifications on. I asked about a number of them and most he said no. Most of them he said no because the transformers that are in them.

A lot of people well not do modifications on Mesa amps.
To give a example I asked Fortin, Friedman and Soldano all if they would modify one of mine and all said "sorry no".

everybody on ebay has a studio these days. I cant compete with that

Ya I got my older 2 channel Dual Rec for $960.00 with all the factory bling and it's dead mint

It might not be pre 500 but like I care for over 2K less than that guys price...

I paid $1150 for my drop dead mint Triple Rec 2 channel...

Both are so mint they could be in a museum...

I got both amps for way less than that amp and I couldn't be happier with them.
