Sounds wicked and growly..................Berry Nice!:2thumbsup:Is EXO boosting some with that Maxon OD808 on top of the amp or is that just straight into the amp? What speakers in that 4x12 are we hearing???

Sounds great thanks for sharing.
How would you describe your/that version VS what you call the base Langner stuff?

This version is much tighter and a little brighter/more aggressive. There's still lots of room to play with how this circuit is voiced. It also has a variable NFB control, which makes a huge difference. I think it was set to around 10:00 here. All the way off, it's even darker and tighter. As you turn it up, the amp becomes brighter, raunchier, and looser.

The Langer circuit has a very strong note fundamental. Very smooth. Kinda dark. That was the sound back then. I personally don't go for that thing, but if someone were trying to recreate that Exodus tone, the base Langner circuit might be the way to go. If someone wanted more of a modern sound or more of an open Marshall kerrang, I would tune the circuit a little differently. The sky's the limit really.

Yeah, boosted with an 808. Drive off, balance around 2:00. Tone at noon. First video is with V30/Fane mix. Second video with vintage Greenbacks. I think we came to the conclusion that this amp likes Greenbacks more.

The first clip, is a higher mid tone. The second, is a lower mid thiccer tone. I bet if you blend them, they would sound amazing

Great sounding clips, but let's not ignore the challenge that's been thrown down here...
