Not to rain on this parade but all the gainier clips had this fizz that frankly I didn't like at all. There's a nice midrange character to it but I'd take an actual superlead in a second over what I heard. Especially with how pricey those Mojave's are. Not knocking the company or the gear just personal taste/preference.

I have many actual superleads, and in person the Mojave's I've played aren't fizzy at all, and sound very very much like an old super lead.

Man that Blues clip was killer, great tone and you can hear everything.

Problem for guys like me is man you are fighting that amp every step of the way, lead department at least. Have a HP coming soon and will be packing up the high gain stuff for awhile, the auto-pilot stuff is not making me work as hard.

+1
Some of the Youtube videos have been done with real shitty camcorders or even Digital camers.
If I was to be buying one listening to those clips I would have shy'd away.
But Vic Masons clip on Youtube is pretty spot on. No one has really captured the low gain finess of the PeaceMaker. This is another side to the amp that you wouldnt relize it has till you actually own one.

I used to set the amp cleanish on the low sens input and use pedals for max flexibility but the best tone comes from just cranking the bugger

I LOVE the Mojave Peacemaker!!!

This video shows a pretty accurate view as to what the amps are about. When I use an EHX LPB2 (set at around 1-2 o'clock) w/ the PM-- it becomes a fire breathing behemoth, yet retains all of the clarity that I LOVE about the amp.

"Absolutly "

Crusty ol' thread bump..I still dig these amps and we get to watch braddah Pat noodle in the clean

Those Saraceno demo clips are still pretty sick too.

I've seen several clips of people going direct out from one amp, into another. How are they doing it? I've tried it with Marshalls and it sucks ass. Is there something I'm missing?

My only 'gripe' is that I wish it had an FX loop.
'

either pull a line out from a hotplate or on later versions use the line out built in to the amp to feed a delay and a second amp for killing wet/dry tone

I did this with my 'wreck clone... it kills!

I've had my peacemaker for just over a year and still LOVE it
1st step I've made to having a unique tone that's all my own, and yes, just like van halen and brian may, your fingers will have to do more of the talking than the high gain amps that cover up stuff

You can really shape the mojaves to fit your own unique vibe, especially if you use cleaner settings and try different pedals/ different guitars/ speakers etc..

they just have an awesome soul
turn it all the way up and it it is just the coolest screaming thick organic beast you've ever heard

the line out on the mojave is what I use for wet dry
it works perfect and can also be used for recording
you can also use the line out on the hot plate which I haven't tried yet

I just got a replex delay
and with a wet dry set up it is SOOOOOO 70's
love it

whats the price like on these guys?

Extremely high. I still love mine though.
Let's clarify though. I've seen a mint condition PeaceMaker go for $1300. I regularly see what look like brand new PeaceMakers going for $1500. IMO, they are a bargain used...

Steve

new: they are only for the rich (which seems to be most guys on here)
used: definitely worth saving up for and buying over stuff in the 1500 range
