I bet it's worth the hassle. The tube is so deeply inset that it's going to be a real pain in the arse to swap out when the time comes.

Probably pop that o-ring outta there and should be no problem after that? The tube is so deeply inset that it's going to be a real pain in the arse to swap out when the time comes.
I'm sure it was to capture a different type of cool factor but you have a point. I don't think it is an issue due to the knob locations around it but might raise a few eyebrows, lol.Sorry I have to ask: why would anybody want to have a tube exposed out of a pedal case?![]()
If it’s at legit voltage it’ll crush

Are we still talking about pedals?Probably pop that o-ring outta there and should be no problem after that?
Oh manIt's a tube driver clone with a boost, the tube runs at 30v in that circuit so nope.
I really like the BK Butler Tube Driver. Good and unique sound, even if it's not running at a standard 12ax7 voltageOh man
Like most I’ve been thru a ton of ODs and boosts. My favorite by a mile is the black star dept 10. Gotta think the main reason is the tube at real voltage.
The tip is there for a reason. You supposed to take a pair of pliers and pull it right out by the tip.The tube is so deeply inset that it's going to be a real pain in the arse to swap out when the time comes.

If difficult to insert the tube just use the James Hatfield three finger method
I was hoping for a tube compression. Tube Driver sounds interesting. I have owned a few of them.
Looks like two channels - with two tone knobs.
Tube Driver and Big Muff is the Gilmore recipe. I'm not into stacking usually.Yep two dual overdrive pedals, one is Tube Driver + BD2 ad one is Tube Driver + Klon
He's really going hard on Timmons' pedalboard replacement. His Delay, Reverb now the Tube Driver component. He really seems to know how to capitalise on an artist's fame. He already modded his 310 for him, I had a hunch he'd be trying to replace it with something of his own.
Give it a few months and he'll have Andy do a demo video with him for this 'amazing new pedal he's been searching his whole life for...'
maybe I'm just noticing too much.
