Chad and dooredge, I meant to say that my heart goes out to you guys.

I was so focussed on trying to think of something distracting and inspiring to suggest that I forgot. Shame on me!

Hang in there, guys.

No suggestions right now, but mojo send your way.

Just remember, even the darkest night ends with a dawn.

Take care Chad it will get better , believe me I know . During an extremely dark time for me , I listened to the Boston album Walk On . Don't know why , but it helped .

i wallow in my sadness to get it out and move on. so i listen to sad stuff, and find it cathartic.

we all go thru crap. i commend you coming forth to ask for advice. stay strong for those around who need you. count yourself lucky to have them,as they surely feel that way about you.

If Rottingcorpse didn't sext me I would lose my shit. No amount of awesome music would make it better.

Personally when I am down I go through a phase where I listen to some music that is a bit slower, lighter, and in some cases darker than my usual. After that I go more for positive uplifting music. If you want to give something uplifting a try check out the album "endless forms most beautiful" by Nightwish. Especially the song Élan. There is a recurring theme throughout that album about finding your space in the world, lots of references to walden. Which is an old book called "walden, or, life in the woods" it is a reflection on living in a small cabin by a pond on the outskirts of society where the author felt comfortable and at peace. At least that is how I interpret it.

Anything LRB is freakin' awesome, really. Talk about class. Arguably the classiest commercial band ever, IMHO.

Check out Diamantina Cocktail. Also any Greatest Hits compilation.

The only one to avoid, IMHO, is the terribly-mastered Playing to Win of the late '80s. CDs were the new thing back then, and I believe they overlooked the harshness that was inadvertently introduced. Such a shame.

Hope things get better for you.

Black Sabbath Volume 4 and Master of Reality IMO

I too hope everything works out man. I'm sure it will.

When I'm in that place I usually find solace in Smashing Pumpkins, Pink Floyd or Killswitch Engage.
