I hate cocaine, and people on coke. One way trip to fake street. I am by no means some teetotaler, I have been around the block, but coke has always brought out the shittiest aspects in everyone I ever knew. And these days, good luck not getting fent.

When I moved to South Florida in ‘03 and saw how abundant and available blow was I had quite the change of perspective on it. Getting your hands on it in Maine where I grew up took some effort and it was stupidly expensive and stepped on, then I move down here and in the restaurant business $25 G’s were available all day long and a key bump would get your entire mouth and throat numb for a good 5 minutes straight, if you could even break it into lines without drying it out more first.

If that’s the experience I had in the early 00’s, I can’t even imagine what that shit was like in the 80’s down here. I don’t know anyone my age (43) that didn’t fuck with it in their teens.

And to echo Von and japetus; there’s really nothing worse than people on coke. I was fortunate that a small group of us could hang and play Yahtzee for 3 days straight without bullshitting each other over everything, but man, people on coke are the fucking worst. After my first year with it I lost interest in ‘getting fucked up on blow’ and would just do key bumps so I could drink more.

In the 80s Everone did cocaine . Not just Rick stars . Biz men to Congress to you name it . NBA starts . Coke was considered part of just socializing abnd work .differbt time . I was born too late lol

The real stuff is amazing....and way above my pay grade. I just don't care for the types of people you will be dealing with if you are involved with it. Better have a gun, or a ton of money, or both. Where I come from the D.A was doing the shit habitually and died on his morning jog. The judge immediately checked into rehab. Throwing the book at minors drinking and smoking weed while doing blow in the judge's chambers, smh. His family moved outta town in shame. Mind you, this was out in BF egypt too. I just didn't want someone telling my kid "gee kid sorry but your dad OD'ed on coke" so I steered clear of all that stuff.

I wouldn't have suspected that either. They seem like a highly schooled, straight-edge group. According to what I found they did it when they had to play too many shows on consecutive days. I think that's why now when bands do a big tour they give them more days off in between shows. Travel takes a toll for sure.

When my hearing was lost due to ear infection I was tipped off to cocaine possibly clearing out some of the infection in in sinuses
