I would try it with some different speakers and see what you think. But If you've already changed tubes and you just don't like it, as said it's possible you just... don't like it FWIW I've seen *lots* of people post similar things about the OD 100s I think it is very much a love/hate kind of voicing. As are a lot of bogners, which I love, many hate.

For what it's worth, I completely disagree....The chances are sky high you just don't like the amp, and that the amp is fine....seriously

I've owned both the CAA OD100SH/SE, OD100SE+, and currently now I have the PT100. The older OD100 amps are definitely darker, and smoother sounding. Some might say "Bogner-ish" with the presence set low. They just don't have a lot of high end cut and the mids are different than say a Marshall.

If you like the basic Engl tone, the OD100 series is not for you. The Engls have a very tight, compressed, focused, brighter tone that many term hi-fi, sterile, or processed. Not very warm, woody, organic, or 3-D if you see the difference.

The PT100 is completely different from all of the previous OD100 variants. It's basically a Fender Twin Blacface on channel 1 and channels 2 & 3 are modified Marshall 2203 to over the top modern tones on channel 3 depending how you set the power amp hi & low controls. It's really altogether a different animal, and best sounding amp Suhr has made to date IMHO.

You might want to check out an Engl Savage 120. For the money, that was my favorite Engl and it had the most Marshall-esque mid voicing of the bunch.

i want the warm organic and especially 3D feel, but i cant get that from how the amp is acting now.

the amp feel stiff and sterile, and that the sound is changing randomly, sometimes in realtime while playing, which is why i think theres a problem with it,

because i cant in anyway believe this is how they should sound like, theres not many clips of the standard+ but those ive heard is alot better than this, and of the pt100 which is based of the std+ theres tons of clips that sounds great

Your line voltage where you play may be bad, When I bought my Mesa RK2 I lived in the middle of the city and we had power fluctuations all the time. If I was playing at bedroom levels this wasn't an issue but when the drummer showed up it was. My amp would go from a realy thin tight sterile sound to a muddy mess in seconds and then back again. I now live in the burbs with a good power grid so its no longer an issue.

No. You need a voltage regulator.

Apparently you whiffed on the fact that he said the tone was changing in real time. Or maybe his tatses were just changing very quickly
