Here are the clips. Recorded with my iPhone. Not the best recording at all but it's the best I can do with what I have. Hopefully you guys will get a idea about the amp.

Sounds ok. The Jerry clips don't have the gain saturation that his tone has.

Probably has something to do with the iPhone recording...I'm pretty sure this amp has enough gain on tap to nail Jerry's tone. I'm playing it for Harris tomorrow so he can EQ it even more.

no doubt it has something to do with the recording. it has the saturation.

Awesome clips  !

The plexi clip is super warm and dynamic.
I think the lack of dynamic range of the iPhone's mic is what is killing the saturation in your AIC clips. It's picking up too much of the bass and not enough mids and highs. I am sure with an SM57 it would sound like JC himself had plugged in.

How modern can this bad boy get?

OMG...just played this amp...its incredible.

The AIC mode absolutely NAILED Jerry's tone!! I was in shock, but as for the saturation..there is more than enough saturation on tap!

Hijack Alert!!

I notice you have a Mark V...how are you liking that? You can PM me if you want...

I can't watch the clip! it says that the account is under review...

THey put my account under review. They say because I didnt add the info on those clips. O well. Im gonna make some youtube videos soon!

Here are a couple clips before I had tweaked it specifically for hthomas. The only changes I made was that I added a few things he wanted, but these clips are not affected by those changes. The AIC mode was not done when I made these. Marshall Law on git fiddle.

I joined Rigtalk, just for this thread.

Thats how awesome those clips were. Curious about the AIC mod..is that something offered, or did you just tell him you want a mode like that?

very cool to hear that man!

The AIC mod wasn't on the amp. I talked to Brian about what I wanted to sound like and told him how much I liked Jerry's tone and I wanted something pretty close to that.

send Brian a PM and talk with him about what you want. He can make it happen. Hes so easy to work with and he responds very quickly.

Ill have to get another 800/JMP first :D

never should have sold my 2204

I've got a 2000 100W SLP Reissue, the more desirable one without the loop, for sale if your interested. It's a great platform for a mod. PM me if you want it.

Good stuff

You seem to be having some nice new gear days lately. Congrats :D

most awesome, love that kind of tone, been gassing for that modded marshall gain of late, chewy/tasty chunky stuff

i'll probably start a new thread somewhere, but does anyone know many european based modders that could pull off something similar?

the Tommy Folkesson stuff looks insane but with a hefty price tag to match, Tonehunter in germany...trying to find others
