So what do you guys think would be a good price for the one with the busted headshell ? The guy I bought it from didn't get insurance on it and is talking about selling it to me at a discount.

The last time I got a smallbox size shell from Bogner it was $400. I'd guess the 3534 is $250+

I'm asking what do you think the head is worth with the busted headshell ?
I assume you are saying just deduct the price of a new head shell from what I paid. Do you think it loses any value having been put in a new headshell ?
Also there is the possibility that I won't be able to get a new headshell and it would stay in the repaired one.

Being a cheap ass and not buying insurance really paid off for him didn’t it...lol

I'd say it's essentially worth the price of a used 3534 minus the cost of a new headshell from Bogner. As long as the chassis and functionality have in no way been effected. Maybe minus another $100 or so. I'd probably ask for 400-500 from seller to be safe.

I was looking into upgrading a 20th Shiva head-shell with the metal grill from Bogner and it was somewhere around $425.

I will trade my PRS Custom 24 for it as is and fix the head-shell myself.

He did not insure !! ?? Bad move, I dunno, after I opened it up and inspected it, I would probably start around half or so, make it worth your while. Those pics def still make me queasy,,,,, Did you still pick up the new one ??

I had the same situation with Fedex with a Friedman Runt 50 head. Head shell was kinda jacked but not that bad. If he's selling at a discount price I would subtract the cost of a new head shell plus a little more from the original sale price and it could be a decent deal, as long as the amp has no internal damage.

Bummer on the used one (and the truck) but glad you founda new one. Enjoy!

Yes I still picked up the new one because I wasn't sure what he was going to do and I didn't want to miss out and not have one at all.

He said he just forgot to get insurance on it and he was hoping that Fedex would work with him because he ships a lot of stuff.

As expected fedex didn't do anything for him and I ended up buying it from him . So now I have 2.

I'm thinking I may sell the new one . IF I do I would sell it for really close to what I paid for it. I realize that when it left the store it became a used head but I would sell it with the original receipt so who ever bought it would have a warranty and I only played it for abot 1/2 an hour last night .
SO if any of you want it hit me up.

Holy shit, that makes me mad, and I didn't even buy it!!!
