I don’t think it matters since Larry is like a flat earther when it comes to Fortin amps. You walked him through everything about the EP and refuted most of his assertions, but he still sticks to his false claims. Him saying there could be fake stickers on the transformers is especially telling.

That video is the only one I've ever seen. If there's another one out there that shows something more than headshells being built or chassis being powder coated, I'd love to see it.

It must have been back in 2023, but me finding a different video obviously won’t stop Larry from continuing to slander Mike Fortin by falsely claiming he makes Chinese amps. I do appreciate your effort in finding that video, since I enjoyed it and I don’t think I’ve seen it before now.
Larry is now saying it’s my fault that he threatened physical violence against Mike Fortin. LOL!
And his arguments are full of just about every type of logical fallacy imaginable. It’s a waste of time for me to continue to respond to someone like him.

What would be so bad if the EP is built in China, if it sounds good, is flexible and reliable?
My iPhone is also Made in China and I am very satisfied with it.
And yes, I still assume that at least assemblies such as fully assembled PCBs, the chassis with all add-on parts and the head shells are manufactured in China.
The video by FourT6and2 only shows the powder coating of the chassis, the covering of head shells with vinyl and the insertion of the PCB into a chassis - what the video does NOT show is WHERE it was recorded and could therefore have been taken in a factory in China as well.
No, you don't need to adorn yourself with these feathers, because I had already announced that years ago here in the forum at a time when you didn't exist here at all.

Eh, I don't blame you but anytime I play my MTL I wind up just switching to my GZA Hellion. Great amp but I've got too many others in that range that I prefer (GZA, Monomyth, Hermansson). A Fortin probably fits in that range too though lol.
How does the EP compare to an MTL? I'd assume more compressed and less low end.

I only played a MTL MKII for like 5 minutes once. But the EP is gone (sold it 2 weeks ago). I vastly prefer my Granophyre, Dual Rec, KSR, and Hiwatt to the EP. The Evil Pumpkin definitely has its sound. That clip you posted above, although mic'd (I think?) is fairly accurate to how the amp sounds. Wasn't really my style. But between the two, I think the Wizard would be a better value to own.

I do worry it's just another variant of a Jose Marshall, but I think it's got a different enough voice from my others.
Value wise I actually got my MTL for $3200 in a crazy deal, so no need to hold onto it if I'm not playing it. I'd be curious to know if Fortin ever actually makes any more EPs as they seem to only release pedals these days and then reissue an amp once every like 5 years.
I will say... I'm sorta tempted to mod one of my Wizards. Read somewhere the MTL is just an extra gain stage in front of an MCII, so sorta tempted to see if it could be made switchable. Would definitely sell one of my MTL or MCII if that were possible. Though I see comments from folks here who think the Hell Raise also does MCII tones so might just keep an eye out for one of those.

I have both the Fortin EP & Wizard MTL. The EP has three channels that are vastly different, while the MTL has two channel that really only differ much in the amount of gain and saturation.
The EP channel is tight and sounds about halfway between the Wizard rhythm & lead channels.
The KK channel provides liquid saturation and really shines for solos. It is more smooth than tight.
The EP Clean channel is incredible and compares favorably to Boogies and Fenders. The clarity is absolutely amazing and the chimes with single coils blows me away.
