[NAD] What is This?

I know, clipping off 1/2 the power supply waveform. Gonna sound like an HM-2 or some shit.
I have a patch for that in my g-major

I hope you'll run this through your 104B's power section and report back. I've never done that nor do I have experience with rack mounted power amps.

I've figured out enough to use it, but there's probably a few things I'm still missing.
the most important procedure: press set three times, than preset down button
this will change from pr (protected) to unpr (unprotected). This allows you
to save your own presets.
BTW: It's a discontinued product, I don't feel bad about posting this for everyone 😬

I paid 3400,- DM (Deutsche Mark) or 1734€ for mine in June 2001 :giggle:

I remember seeing these down at the shop in Seattle about 1995 and talking to Mike about it.

I am kind of surprised motorized pots did not become more popular. Mike suggested it was not easy to make this product happen.

Congratulations
Now having spent some time with it, I think it's insane this didn't catch on. The mechanical/MIDI framework is essentially independent of what amp it's attached to and would make almost any amp, certainly any amp with much distortion, much better.

Being able to have a whole separate bank of presets for a different guitar is really nice. I wasn't planning to tote this thing to gigs just due to $$$, but it'll be tempting for country gigs where I switch from bender tele to something PAFish. That can be a little awkward with most amps.

I'm running it with my SM-100R right now but I will probably experiment with other options - Hammer 320, LX-II, the 104BV etc.

The SM-100R is definitely a good fit. It's a little bland at low volume, but as volume increases it gets a lot better.

Yup - figured that one out without the manual by luck.

I'm glad they went with 7-segment display for reliability, but some of the stuff is pretty non-intuitive. I think I've got it all though - I'll have to do a MIDI dump tonight so I can change the battery without risk.
